Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:10-18)

Finally – O.G. – Tou Loipou – For the rest of the matter, in conclusion, in summation. Also translated in other manuscripts, “If you don’t remember anything else I’ve told you, remember THIS”

This is what Paul meant when he used this word. “In conclusion, I have saved the most important issue of this epistle until the end of the letter, so if you remember nothing else I have said, you will remember this. I want this to stand out in your mind!”

Ephesians teaches some of the most deep theological teaching in the New Testament (the election of the saints, the truth about predestination, adoption of the sons of God, dispensations of the times, the sealing of the Holy Spirit, the earnest of the Holy Spirit, the power of God that is available to every believer, the balance of grace and faith, fivefold ministry gifts, and the list goes on… Yet Paul, said this last part was the most important thing.

Knowledge + Application = Transformation

The most important thing that Paul tells believers to walk in, is their knowledge of
-    Truth
-    Righteousness
-    Understanding the Gospel of Peace
-    Faith
-    Salvation
-    Understanding the transforming power of God’s word
-    Prayer and supplication for the saints.

“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus…”
-    Ephesians 2:6

…and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus NKJV

…and lifted us up from the grave into glory along with Christ, where we sit with him in the heavenly realms-all because of what Christ Jesus did. TLB

For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. New Living Translation

In our union with Christ Jesus he raised us up with him to rule with him in the heavenly world. TEV

And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One). AMP

What does it look like when you’re next to someone who is pure, holy, who doesn’t speak about the faults and failures of others?

• You may have done everything they said you’ve done, but you aren’t who they say you are. (2 Cor. 5:17-21)
• Christ is more interested in you being found “in him,” than you being “like him.”
